About me

Hey Everyone!

For my first post, I think I’ll keep it short and introduce myself a bit.

My name is Alyssa, and I live in Orange County, California with my husband and chocolate lab, Reese. Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a housewife, where I would craft and bake all day.  Well, fortunately for me, I have a wonderful husband who works hard and lets me live out my dream.

I started this blog because of two things I am passionate about: anything crafty and yummy food.  I have been crafting it up since I was little, starting with coloring, to sewing my own doll clothes, to scrapbooking.  I loved and (still love) it all! And food? Who doesn’t love that? To me, the best part about cooking or baking is that you get to eat it in the end!

Our little one, Henley, was born in March 2014, and with her arrival, Crafty Mom Blog has turned a little mommy-ish as well. Henley consumes nearly every part of my day, so naturally my love for her overflows into whatever I am working on at the moment!

So, feel free to join me as I share my craft, cooking, DIY projects, and a little bit of myself!  I look forward to getting to know you all!
